A social media user @deebayleaf shared a post describing how her cousin allegedly faced a difficult experience after marrying an NRI and moving abroad. According to her, the reality turned out very different from expectations of a better life overseas.
Allegations of isolation and excessive chores
The user claimed her cousin experienced extreme loneliness and was burdened with constant household responsibilities after relocating. She said the woman was expected to manage “endless chores” while also being told to remain connected to her Indian roots.
