NPDCL gets awards for best practices

Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TSNPDCL) bagged two Skoch order of merit awards in the implementation of innovative IRDA metering technology and distributed solar generation categories. The awards will be presented at an event to be held at New Delhi on April 12.

According to officials of the Northern Discom, a total of 37.86 lakh consumers (88.52% of the total consumer base) in their purview were being issued bills generated in the IRDA (infrared) system minimising the errors in generation of bills to a large extent. Consumer would get the billing information through sms and would allow them pay bills online.
