Well, the two foods have come together to create a love child—macaroni and cheese-flavored ice cream.
Yes, a cheesy ice cream.
Kraft Foods and Brooklyn-based company Van Leeuwen Ice Cream teamed up to create a limited-edition macaroni and cheese flavoured ice cream in honour of National Mac and Cheese Day on Wednesday.
“We know that there is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than ice cream. That is why we wanted to combine two of the most iconic comfort foods to create an ice cream with the unforgettable flavor of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese we all grew up with,” said Emily Violett, from Kraft.
People were clearly excited – so much so, that the website crashed less than 10 minutes after the launch, with a 2,000-pint inventory bought out within one hour, as perTMZ.

The ice cream is listed as out of stock on the website, with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Instagram page saying it “broke the internet”.
Kraft merged with Heinz six years ago to create North America’s third-largest food and beverage company.
