"Now that's how you do it guys": Stunning rooftop proposal leaves thousands of people in awe

Thousands of people were left in awe after a Liverpool bar shared a 'gorgeous' picture of a couple getting engaged on its rooftop.

Liberté, which is based on the third floor of the Bentley Building on The Strand, posted a beautiful image of a couple getting engaged on its rooftop.

The groom-to-be, Sukhy, wanted to propose to his partner, Sharon, in Liverpool - and specifically Liberté - as it is a 'special place' to them and they visit quite often.

After contacting The Proposal Company, a business based in Birmingham and London, they got to work arranging their special day.

One of the people who planned the event said: "We arranged for them to stay in Liverpool, have dinner and think they were just having a normal few days away in Liverpool.

"When she walked into Liberté we had the set up and their favourite song playing and she said yes!"

The scene of the proposal overlooked Liverpool's iconic three graces and the team had filled the rooftop with flower petals, framed pictures of the couple, candles and a light up sign saying 'Marry me".

Liberté posted on its Instagram page: "We love romance. Congratulations to this gorgeous couple who got engaged on our rooftop."

After pictures of the proposal were shared on social media, people took to the comments section to wish the couple the best of luck.

One commenter said: "This is unreal. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple. She is a very lucky lady."

Another added: "Now that's how you do it guys."
