NOW launches Glam Pop album and here are all 80 of its 'sensational seventies' hits

We're all bored rigid with lockdown and live music is just one of life's little pleasures that we're missing because of the pandemic.

That is unlikely to make a return any time soon but a new release is out to bring a blast of cheery pop classics into our homes and bring back memories, for those of certain age, of their concert-going hey days.

A new NOW albumbeing released this Friday, January 29 is a nostalgia-fest of glam rock hits and described as "pop perfection from the sensationals seventies".

Featuring such iconic bands as Queen and Abba, it includes four CDs with a whopping 80 tracks capturing the era of flamboyant fashion, glitzy glamour and big hair.

NOW 70s Glam Pop is the latest in the long-running series which saw the first NOW That’s What I Call Music! album make its debut in 1983.

A giant NOW 100 compilation of five CDs was produced in 2018, followed up last year with one of 80s hits.

Of its latest blast down memory lane it says: "Dust off your platforms, break out the eyeshadow, get the glitter poppin’ and turn up your speakers."

Among the songs set to have listeners on their feet enjoying a seventies-theme experience at home are Queen's Killer Queen; Mud's Tiger Feet; Slade’s Cum On Feel The Noize and Mungo Jerry’s In The Summertime.

Others guaranteed to strike a chord are Alvin Stardust’s My Coo Ca Choo; Suzi Quatro’s Devil Gate Drive; Abba’s Waterloo and Jigsaw’s Sky High .
