Now, Jannayak Janata Party’s Narwana MLA Ramniwas Surjakhera speaks out against Haryana deputy CM Dushyant Chautala’s functioning

CHANDIGARH/JIND: One more MLA of Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), which is an alliance partner in BJP’s Manohar Lal Khattar-led coalition government in Haryana, has expressed displeasure over the functioning of his own party leader and deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala.

Ramniwas Surjakhera, who represents Narwana (reserved) constituency, however, showered praise on chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar for his working style, especially for hearing all legislators irrespective of their affiliation to any party.

In an indirect attack on Dushyant, Surjakhera said, “I don’t know what kind of machine deputy CM has, the paper given to him related to any development work does not work. No action is taken on such requests made to him. We don’t know what kind of process he follows.”

Talking to media on the sidelines of a public meeting in Narwana on Monday, the MLA refused to speak about any kind of differences with Dushyant. He said in a family, there may be some differences, but they are not permanent in nature but his concerns are related to work for which CM has been making all efforts.

Praising Khattar, he said the CM never turned down the request of any legislator even if he was from Congress or opposition party. “Whenever I approached him (Khattar), he always responded positively and accepted all demands related to Narwana,” he said.

He also informed that the CM had recently given clearance to a master plan for Narwana, for which most of the formalities had been completed.

As videos of the MLA, who is also chairman of Khadi and Village Industry Board Haryana, criticising his own party leader went viral, he switched off his mobile phone in the evening.

JJP has 10 MLAs in the state assembly, including Dushyant and his mother Naina Chautala. The party has been supporting BJP to run the coalition government. Surjakhera has become the fifth JJP MLA who has openly questioned the party leader. Guhla MLA Ishwar Singh has also expressed displeasure against the party leadership and has distanced himself from attending party meetings. Narnaund MLA Ram Kumar Gautam has already distanced himself from Dushyant and could be seen criticising him openly.

Earlier, Barwala MLA Jogi Ram Sihag and Tohana MLA Devender Babli had also expressed displeasure over JJP’s functioning.

However, Babli has been recently adjusted by Dushyant by inducting him as minister in the Khattar cabinet from JJP quota.
