CHANDIGARH: Regarding the Punjab government's action against health minister Dr Vijay Kumar Singla on the basis of an audio recording, Punjab Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira on Wednesday said it has set a precedent and will have to act on every audio/video recording pointing at corruption.
"By acting on an audio recording, the Punjab government has set a bar. In the future, the government will be in trouble if it ignores any of the audio/video recording alleging corruption," said Khaira and expressed apprehension on the legal sanctity of audio recording in court and demanded that the audio recording be made public. But, the Congress leader lauded Singla's arrest even as he accused the government of adopting pick and choose policy.
