Now, a mural for Kieron Pollard in Bandra

It was an emotional week for the Mumbai Indians, as their old warhorse Kieron Pollard, who played for them for 13 years, and featured in as many as 189 games-the maximum by any overseas player in the IPL history-hung his boots.

The West Indian, who said in a statement that he didn't even think of playing for another franchise, is now the batting coach of the 5-time IPL champions.

Pollard's IPL retirement has left MI's countless fans in the city choking with emotion too-Mumbai, after all, had become his second home, where he would bring his family to each summer. In a lovely, touching tribute to the 35-year-old explosive batsman from Trinidad & Tobago, Mooz, a city-based graffiti artist and illustrator, has made a mural for Pollard, at the Carter Road in Bandra. The mural depicts a typical Pollard gesture on the field-finger on the lip, with Mumbai loves scribbled next to it.

On Instagram, Mooz put out a video of him making Pollard's mural, before captioning his post as: "A Tribute from Mumbai to the LLORD!@kieron.pollard55."

"Pollard has been a symbol of not just Mumbai Indians but also the city. I just wanted to give something to the people of Mumbai to remember and celebrate Polly's (Pollard's) legacy," Mooz told TOI.
