Novus secures biggest contract of the year so far

National contractor Novus Property Solutions has extended its 2021 winning streak after securing its biggest contract of the year so far.

The Stoke-on-Trent business has won a £9 million refurbishment and repair contract for thousands of homes owned by regional housing association Bromford.

The contract – which covers Bromford's homes in the West Midlands, Shropshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire – will see Novus undertake repairs and redecoration for up to 21,000 social and affordable properties.

The contract is in place for the next six years with the option to extend for a further two years.

The latest deal follows a hugely successful summer for the family-owned business, which secured £23 million worth of new business in August and September alone.

Gary Clay, head of operations for Novus in the Midlands, said: "As previous incumbent contractor for Bromford, we are delighted to have re-secured this contract as we continue to build on our fantastic working relationship with the organisation.

"Not only are we proud to have secured a contract of this size with a forward-thinking client like Bromford, we are incredibly proud of the manner in which it was won.

"As a business, we have always understood the importance of taking care of residents and keeping them informed and involved in the works we undertake to improve their homes. We also make sure we build social value into every project we do – whether that’s improving the local area through refurbishing community facilities, or giving our staff dedicated time to volunteer for local good causes.

"Bromford not only recognises the value of this, but flagged our approach to these two areas as the backbone of why they have chosen to work with us on this project.

"We are simply thrilled to be working with a housing association that shares our values and approach to customer care."

Nick Wooldridge, investment delivery manager at Bromford, added: "We've developed an excellent working relationship with Novus and look forward to building on this during the course of this latest contract.

"Over the years ahead, the team from Novus will be working with thousands of our customers, helping us to maintain and improve homes in which our customers can thrive."
