Novak Djokovic has hit back at those who criticised him following the disastrous Adria Tour that he organised last month.
The Serbian has claimed there is a "witch hunt" against him after he and his wife tested positive for coronavirus.
He wasn't the only one as a range of athletes who were set to take place in the exhibition also caught Covid-19.
Belgrade, the city where Djokovic is from, increased lockdown measures after a spike in cases.
But the World No 1 has still hit back at those who he believes may have an "agenda" against him.
"Lately I only see criticism, very malicious," he told Sportski Zurnal. "Obviously, there is something more than that criticism, as if there is an agenda, as if it were a witch-hunt.
"Someone has to fall, some person, some big name to be the main culprit for everything.
"I leave it to others to say if that is fair, I don't think it is, I think that we must learn from all of this and to adapt as we go along."
Prior to the tournament, which did have to be abandoned, cases of coronavirus were on the decline in Serbia but some have questioned why social distancing measures seemed to be ignored.
Djokovic has also joined Rafael Nadal is casting doubt over whether he will play in the US Open this year.
"I'm not sure I'll play in the US Open," he added. "I plan to play Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros in September."
It means none of Tennis' big three could be present with Roger Federer out injured, although the event at Flushing Meadows is in further doubt after the Ryder Cup, due to take place in America, was postponed.
