  • Jannik Sinner delivered a ruthless performance to beat Novak Djokovic in their Wimbledon semi-final on Friday.
  • The number one seed was in control from the outset and kept Djokovic at bay to record a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 victory, meaning Djokovic’s wait for a record-breaking 25th grand slam title goes on.
  • Sinner will now get the chance to defend his title when he faces German number two seed Alexander Zverev in Sunday’s final.
  • Zverev faced British wildcard Arthur Fery in Friday’s first semi-final and also won in straight sets, as he picked up a 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 win.
  • Zverev won his first grand slam title at the French Open final last month, while Sinner is yet to win a major title in 2026.
