Noughty 90s Festival confirms Newcastle return with huge line-up including Boyzlife, Five and Vengaboys

The Noughty 90s Festival has arranged a return date with Newcastle this summer, promising a blast back to pre-Covid days of full-on pop party fun.

The music-fest will be back at Leazes Park on the August Bank Holiday weekend and tickets are now on sale.

The Noughty 90s was one of just a few live events to go ahead last year, striking lucky when its August date fell in with an easing of Covid restrictions, and its line-up featuring Peter Andre, S Club, N-Trance and Atomic Kitten went down a storm.

S Club and N-Trance will be back this time around too, amongst a huge array of acts over the festival's two-day run, including 911, Liberty X, Gareth Gates, Kroud Karaoke, Basshunter, Ultrabeat; Luck & Neat, Ratpack and Jocelyn Brown.

The festival is always popular for its showcase of artists from the noughties and nineties - which it describes as "two of the most important decades in music history" - and earlier this February it teased fans with a hint of its upcoming line-up announcement on its Facebook page, saying: " Newcastle … You ready?"

When the full programme was revealed on Wednesday, it sparked comments such as "we need to go"; "unreal" and "omg can we go".

Tickets are currently available from £38.75, including booking fee, for a day session and £55.25 for a weekend. VIP options are also available: see here.
