A village pub which closed suddenly earlier this year has re-opened with temporary managers at the helm.
The Chequers Inn, in Cropwell Bishop, closed without warning in February after the departure of the licensee. A metal shutter was installed at the front door to prevent trespassers.
But now the rural pub is back in business.
A spokeswoman for owners Star Pubs & Bars said: "To support new licensees, we sometimes offer a short-term agreement so they can test whether the venture is right for them."
The pub company has ambitious plans for the local in the Vale of Belvoir in the future.
"We also are in the process of developing an investment plan for The Chequers Inn to create a fresh and exciting pub and so will continue to market the pub to find a partner to bring these plans to life,” added the spokeswoman.
