A Nottinghamshire mum has told of her pride as her son's band has made it to the final of a popular talent show.
Jacob Fowler, 20, who is part of the band Since September, will compete in the final of the BBC's Little Mix The Search tonight at 6pm.
The band will go up against three others to be crowned winners of the show - and therefore join Little Mix on their next tour.
Mum Lara Fowler, of Woodthorpe, told Nottinghamshire Live: "Jacob was just really excited and relieved that he got to the final, we can't ask for more than that.
"But to win would be the icing on the cake, it would be a dream come true for him. He has had a brilliant experience being on the show. It has kept us all going with something positive.
"Family and friends are all behind him, they’re so excited. Whatever happens, we're hoping the show is a brilliant platform for people to hear his voice. He's really one to watch."
Jacob, who first started singing in his bedroom aged 14, first found out about the show last September but had to keep it a secret until it aired this year.
His talent was picked up on by teachers while he was a pupil at Trinity school Aspley - and he now studies musical theatre at Trinity Laban conservatoire in London.
He was named as one to watch last year when he was honoured as a Nottingham Post 30 under 30 award winner.
Lara added: "Tonight we’re excited and nervous but we’ve got to hope for the best.
"When the show starts, people can vote online or on the phone lines for Since September."
