Notts County vs Weymouth player ratings: Calvin Miller shines on proud day for Magpies

Notts County secured their National League play-off place as more than 4,000 fans returned to Meadow Lane.

Here's how Leigh Curtis rated the Magpies players in their 3-0 win over Weymouth.

Sam Slocombe: Only had one save to make in the first half when he had to beat away a shot from Andrew Dallas. Otherwise a comfortable afternoon. Handling spot on. 8

Dion Kelly-Evans: Up and down the right-hand side all afternoon and came so close to a goal. Is in great form at the moment. 8

Richard Brindley: Hit the bar from close range in the first half and despite being a right-back by trade, he looked very composed in the back three. 8

Mark Ellis: The on-loan Tranmere defender won plenty of aerial duels and had a brief scare when he misjudged one that handed Dallas a chance but he couldn't take advantage. 8

Adam Chicksen: Has done well since moving into a back three and this was another solid performance from the Zimbabwe international. 8

Calvin Miller: An absolute nightmare for the Weymouth defence in the opening 45 minutes and caused no end of problems with his direct running throughout. Exceptional. 9

Michael Doyle: Epitomised why he is such a vital component of this Notts team. Protects and serves. Just a great player. 8

Jake Reeves: Won the penalty which led to Notts' first goal and got into some really good attacking positions. Been excellent in recent weeks. 8

Jim O'Brien: Showed some delightful feet in tight areas and matched that quality with industry as he worked so hard off the ball. Great work for the third goal. 8

Ruben Rodrigues: A real nuisance in between the lines and it makes him so difficult to pick up. Has forged a good understanding with Kyle Wootton. 8

Kyle Wootton: Grabbed a tap in and Notts' leading scorer was lively throughout. Won numerous headers and was a real livewire. Could have had more goals. 8

Subs: Enzio Boldewijn (Kelly-Evans 60): Came on and scored a superb strike which was a difficult finish made easy by his undoubted quality. 8

Elisha Sam (Reeves 80): Came and worked hard off the ball and could have had a goal if he had been picked out by Rodrigues. 7

Regan Griffiths (Rodrigues 83): Midfielder showed some nice touches in the time he was on the pitch. 7
