Notts County team news vs Maidstone as three academy stars named in matchday squad

Luke Williams has made six changes to the side that drew with Boreham Wood in midweek, with three U19s named amongst the substitutes to face Maidstone in the FA Trophy.

There is a return for Magpies defender Connell Rawlinson after missing the last seven games through injury, coming in alongside Kyle Cameron and Aden Baldwin.

And there is a debut for Notts' latest recruit Archie Mair who signed on loan from Norwich City on Friday afternoon, replacing Sam Slocombe in goal.

Kairo Mitchell comes in to make just his third start of the season up front, with Cedwyn Scott and Ruben Rodrigues rested ahead of their trip to Chesterfield next week. Top scorer Macaulay Langstaff is named on the bench.

Sam Austin will be looking to add to his tally in cup competitions this campaign, with all three of his goals this season coming in the FA Trophy and FA Cup.

The Notts boss has also named three of the Magpies' U19s within his matchday squad.

It is a second time for midfielder Madou Cisse after his first call up in the previous round against Chorley, but he is joined this afternoon by defender Ashaiah Fearon and striker Charlie Gill, with all three hopeful of making their debuts in front of a Meadow Lane crowd this afternoon.

Notts starting line-up: Mair; Cameron, Baldwin, Rawlinson; Bajrami, Francis; Chicksen, Palmer, Austin, Nemane; Mitchell.

SUBS: Slocombe, Fearon, O'Brien, Cisse, Gill, Langstaff.
