Notts County team news confirmed as Neal Ardley makes Ruben Rodrigues decision for Yeovil Town clash

Neal Ardley has made three changes to his team for their clash with Yeovil Town, with Ruben Rodrigues dropping to the bench.

The Magpies welcome the Glovers to Meadow Lane with Notts seeking their first National League home win since February 9.

Ardley's side produced a spirited two-goal comeback in the final 15 minutes to snatch a point against Boreham Wood in midweek and that fightback has prompted three alterations.

Rodrigues is joined on the bench by Elisha Sam with Calvin Miller dropping out of the squad altogether. In their place come Jim O'Brien, Inih Effiong and Jordan Barnett.

Connell Rawlinson could play at right-back, or there is the potential for a three-man defence with Enzio Boldewijn and Barnett as wing-backs.

Notts' defence will need to keep an eye out for Yeovil top-scorer Rhys Murphy who, like Kyle Wootton, has netted 12 times in the National League this season and leads the line at Meadow Lane.

After watching his side collect four points from their last two league outings, Ardley felt his side had something to "build on" as they look to rediscover their early-season form.

“It’s something to build on,” he said. "Two games isn’t enough, but it’s a start.

“It keeps us ticking along until we are flowing again. We’ve just got to keep carrying on because now we’ve got two tough games against Yeovil.

“We’ve got to try to stay unbeaten, try to pick up points because they are not easy to get. It’s a start, that’s all it is.”

Notts head to Huish Park on Tuesday night for the rearranged reverse fixture which was originally planned for December 12.

Notts County: Slocombe; Rawlinson, Lacey, Ellis, Miller; Boldewijn, Doyle, Reeves, O'Brien; Effiong, Wootton.

Substitutes: Turner, Rodrigues, Sam, Kelly-Evans, Knowles.
