Notts County suffer fifth Covid postponement as Yeovil clash called off

Notts County's clash against Yeovil Town on Tuesday night is off after the Glovers announced a positive Covid-19 test.

It is the second time the clash against the Glovers has been postponed this season with the original game back in December called off because of a positive Covid-19 test.

The news will undoubtedly come as a huge frustration to Notts who have seen their season badly impacted by the virus with tomorrow night's postponement the fifth time this season a game has been affected.

Notts were forced to undergo a three-week break themselves after Covid ripped through the camp in October, before their clash against the Glovers was postponed in December.

Two Christmas fixtures against King's Lynn were also postponed after the Linnetts reported coronavirus in their camp, and a trip to Eastleigh also needed calling off just weeks later.

The trip to Yeovil is yet to have a new date. Notts had hoped to play a game in its place tomorrow night after learning of the Glovers' situation on Friday.

But that has proven unsuccessful, as despite the opposition club signalling they were happy to host Notts, they have now decided they are not in a position to play the game.

It has left Notts, who are testing their players on a regular basis, with a hectic schedule with the club having played just 14 league games so far this season.

They have played just one league game since December 8.
