Notts County staff turn to emergency fund as they still await payment of wages

Several members of Notts County’s staff have been given financial aid from the club’s official supporters’ association as they await payment of wages.

An emergency fund was set up by NCFCOSA earlier this week designed to help staff whose June wages went unpaid last Friday and more than £1,000 has so far been raised.

The NCFCOSA are understood to have made a substantial donation themselves, but have received financial backing from supporters who are keen to help those affected.

Staff with families are entitled to a £100 while those who are single will receive £50.

The NCFCOSA remains committed to helping those who have been hit hard in the pocket as the club’s financial problems continue to cause concern.

On Monday, Notts  chairman Alan Hardy said he “deeply regrets” not being unable to fulfil his obligations but hoped to liaise with the prospective new owners to rectify the situation.

The NCFCOSA are still inviting donations to help staff in the meantime while they continue to make their own financial commitment to the cause.

All donations will be recorded by donor and amount, meaning that if staff are paid, monies may be handed back or, with consent, retained for future emergency use.

For full information on how to donate, details can be found  at www.ncfcosa.co.uk.

You can also follow them on Twitter @ncfcosa or via their Facebook group.
