Notts County set for bumper away following for all-important relegation clash at Swindon

Notts County fans desperate to see their club survive relegation from the Football League will travel to Swindon Town on Saturday in their numbers.

Fans have already snapped up 1,600 tickets for the do or die clash at the County Ground.

The Magpies know only a win in Wiltshire will give them any hope of avoiding relegation from the Football League for the first time in their history, and even that may not be enough, such is the nature of their perilous situation.

Why being off social media is an advantage to Notts County's Mitch Rose

Notts have requested a further 500 tickets for the Stratton Bank which is situated behind the goal, and is uncovered, taking the total allocation to 2,100.

The allocation for the Arkell’s Stand which runs down the side of the County Ground pitch has already sold out.

Should Magpies’ supporters snap up the remaining tickets for the 3pm showdown, it’ll be one of their biggest away followings since they secured final day survival at Oldham Athletic in 2014 under then manager Shaun Derry.

Neal Ardley’s Magpies will go into the game on the back of a 2-1 victory at Meadow Lane against Grimsby Town on Saturday, a result which kept them hanging on to their status after Macclesfield won at Port Vale.

Mitch Rose can't wait to ring the Notts County doubters as he targets miraculous Great Escape

Should Sol Campbell’s Moss Rose outfit avoid defeat at home to Cambridge then the Magpies would be relegated to the National League for the first time in their 130 year history, regardless of what happens in Wiltshire.
