Notts County's much-anticipated Chesterfield clash will be screened live on TV

Notts County's much-anticipated clash with Chesterfield will be screened live on BT Sport.

The Magpies head to the ProAct Stadium on October 26 when they will face-off against the Spireites, who are managed by former Notts boss John Sheridan.

Kick-off has been moved to 5.20pm as a result, and will be the second time Notts have been on BT Sport this season.

Previously, the channel covered their 2-1 home defeat to Barnet at the beginning of the season.

But the stakes will be much higher this time around with Neal Ardley's  Magpies having climbed towards the top half of the National League table.

They will go head to head with Sheridan who was sacked as Notts boss in December 2017.

Former Notts defender Haydn Hollis will also be in the Spireites' line-up having been a popular figure among supporters at Meadow Lane where he came through the club's academy.

Chesterfield have had a poor start to the season so far which has put Sheridan under huge pressure.

But after receiving a vote of confidence from the club's board, they secured a morale-boosting 2-1 win over struggling Aldershot at the weekend.

The last time the sides met was in the 2017-18 season when Chesterfield ran out 3-1 winners when current Notts striker Kristian Dennis was among their scorers.
