Notts County receive huge play-off final boost ahead of Wembley showdown

Notts County striker Kristian Dennis is winning his battle to be fit for their Wembley showdown against Harrogate Town.

The striker had to be substituted in the second half of their 2-0 play-off semi-final win against Barnet last Sunday because of a problem with his calf.

But the forward, who scored the opening goal against the Bees, has trained and the 15-goal forward will be vying for a place alongside top scorer Kyle Wootton.

The news will come as a huge boost to Magpies boss Neal Ardley who has seen the forward hit excellent form in the back end of the season with Notts hoping he can prove to be a difference at Wembley.

Elsewhere Notts have no fresh injury worries for the game with the only absentees being left-back Damian McCrory who is out with a knee injury and is recovering from an operation.

Midfielder Regan Booty will also be absent because of a back problem that has flared up again and has been a problem for a large part of the season.

Sunday's game kicks off at 3pm and will be screened live on BT Sport. And Notts Live will bring you every kick with our live matchday blog.
