Notts County issue update over FA Trophy semi-final clash against Harrogate

Notts County's FA Trophy semi-final clash against Harrogate has been pushed back after the Football Association took the decision to postpone the Non-League Finals Day.

The Magpies had been due to face Simon Weaver's side next Thursday with the winners going on to play Concord Rangers at Wembley on September 27.

But the FA has now announced it has postponed the final due to a fresh spike in coronavirus cases and they governing body is eager to play the game on a day when supporters can attend.

As result, Notts will now play their game against Harrogate on Tuesday, September 22 at Meadow Lane with a 7.45pm kick-off.

That means Neal Ardley's side have cancelled a friendly against Boston United which had been due to take place on the same night.

The clubs has also added two more pre-season games to its friendly fixtures. They will travel to Telford on September 19, before hosting Conference North York at Meadow Lane on September 26 at 3pm.

The updated pre-season schedule is:  Alfreton Town (A) September 12 (3pm), AFC Telford United (A) Saturday September 19 (3pm),  Harrogate (h),  Tuesday September 22 (7.45pm), York City (H) Saturday September 26 (3pm)
