Notts County held at home by Sutton United as search for National League win continues

Harry Beautyman's late goal ensured Notts County's indifferent form continued as Sutton United snatched a 1-1 draw at Meadow Lane.

The Magpies had taken the lead early on when Wes Thomas converted a near post cross from Enzio Boldewijn.

That had put Neal Ardley's side in command, but the visitors had their moments with Kyel Reid forcing Sam Slocombe into action before the break.

Notts had dominated possession for large spells but clear-cut chances were limited with Connell Rawlinson having the best of them when he headed inches past the post from Regan Booty's corner.

At 1-0, Sutton provided little threat themselves but they grabbed an equaliser when Notts failed to deal with a high ball into the box.

And as Notts dithered, Beautyman managed to sneak his shot into the far corner.

Michael Doyle tried to find a winner for the hosts, but his snap shot was saved by Nikola Tsanev.
