Notts County have fitness doubts over striker

Notts County are set to welcome back defender Connell Rawlinson into their squad to face Woking tomorrow night.

But Magpies striker Nathan Tyson has been ruled a doubt through illness having missed training on Monday.

News of Rawlinson's return will come as a boost to Notts with the centre-back having been in excellent form prior to picking up a calf problem that kept him out of Saturday's defeat at Chesterfield.

But he came through training unscathed and is now set to be part of the 18-man squad.

Boss Neal Ardley is confident  the defender will be fit enough to make the journey south, but admitted Tyson will be assessed to see whether he will make the trip after a bright cameo role as a substitute at the weekend.

"Connell joined in training and you never know when you have made the right call or not, but it looks like he will be involved which is good news," he said.

"Nathan Tyson was a bit poorly on Monday morning. He was a bit run down.

"We've had lots of colds and stuff going around.

"We kept him out of training and we will assess whether he's okay to be in the squad."
