This is how much Notts County fans bucket collection raised to help pay staff

Notts County supporters held a bucket collection to try and help pay the wages of stricken staff.

Last month's salaries are yet to be paid amid the ongoing crisis at Meadow Lane.

As a result, the Official Supporters Association held a collection outside Ilkeston's Town's New Manor Ground before the two teams met during a pre-season friendly on Saturday. By the end of the game, which Notts won 5-0, a total of £1,485 had been raised.

Money raised by fans going through the designated Notts turnstile will also go the rank and file staff who are still waiting for June salaries.

Meanwhile, the supporters club have already raised more than £1,000 fans in a bid to support staff.

Notts have until July 31 to complete their takeover after a third High Court Appearance over a £250,000 tax bill.
