Notts County face National League rivals after FA Trophy draw is revealed

Notts County will host Eastleigh in the FA Trophy fourth round after the draw was made on Monday.

The Magpies were paired to face Ben Strevens' side after beating fellow National League side Altrincham 2-1 at the weekend.

Eastleigh are just one of four sides to have beaten Notts in the National League this season having secured a 2-0 victory back in November.

Head coach Ian Burchnall's side will be hoping to set the record straight when the two sides clash again at Meadow Lane as they look to take another step towards Wembley.

Notts have reached the semi-finals of the competition in the last two seasons, but lost out to Harrogate in their first year in the National League in a campaign that was disrupted by Covid.

And Notts then missed out on the chance of a capital day out last season when they lost to Mark Stimson's Hornchurch on penalties after the game finished 3-3.

The tie against Eastleigh is due to be played on Saturday, January 15.
