Notts County defender commits future to Magpies

Alex Lacey has committed his future to Notts County ahead of the 2020-21 season.

The 27-year-old defender has agreed a new contract with the Magpies.

Lacey joins Michael Doyle in putting pen to paper on a deal following the National League play-off final defeat to Harrogate Town.

They were two of seven out-of-contract players to be offered fresh terms at Meadow Lane.

The others are Richard Brindley, Kristian Dennis, Dion Kelly-Evans, Joe McDonnell and Sam Osborne.

Lacey joined Notts in November on a short-term deal and made 14 appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.

He previously had spells with Gillingham, Yeovil Town and Luton Town.
