Notts County boss Neal Ardley names team to face Boreham Wood

Notts County manager Neal Ardley has made three changes to his starting 11 as the Magpies look to secure victory against Boreham Wood tonight.

Dion Kelly-Evans, Jim O'Brien and Inih Effiong have all been dropped to the substitutes' bench with Ruben Rodrigues, Elisha Sam and Jake Reeves all restored to the starting 11.

Otherwise it was as you were from the side which beat Wealdstone 1-0 at the weekend as Neal Ardley stuck with the defence which kept a valuable clean sheet.

In goal was Sam Slocombe behind what is expected to be a back four of Connell Rawlinson, Mark Ellis, Alex Lacey and Calvin Miller.

In midfield, Reeves partnered captain Michael Doyle in the middle with Ruben Rodrigues and Enzio Boldewijn on the flanks.

Up front, Elisha Sam partnered top scorer Kyle Wootton.

Ardley did have reinforcements on the bench Kelly-Evans, O'Brien, Effiong, Jimmy Knowles and Ben Turner.

There is some debate about the formation with fans wondering how they will line up. There is the potential to play 5-3-2 with Boldewijn as a wing-back along with Miller on the opposite flank leaving Rodrigues, Doyle and Reeves in midfield.

Or it could be 4-4-2 with Rawlinson deployed as a right-back in the absence of Dion Kelly-Evans with Boldewijn and Rodrigues on the right and left wings respectively.

Notts: Slocombe, Rawlilnson, Lacey, Ellis, Miller, Boldewijn, Doyle, Reeves, Rodrigues, Sam, Wootton
