Notts County boss Neal Ardley given boost as he reveals team to face Boreham Wood

Notts County boss Neal Ardley has made two changes to the side which faces Boreham Wood tonight as the Magpies look to make it six games unbeaten.

Fresh from their 1-0 victory over Woking at the weekend, the Magpies chief has decided to make a couple of alterations to his side which are bang in form.

Portuguese midfielder Ruben Rodrigues and Belgian forward Elisha Sam are the players to make way for the National League clash which looks a result of their performance at the weekend.

Neither player made much of an impression, but they have played a part in a hectic schedule and Ardley has taken the decision to rest the pair this evening.

Their absence meant a recall to the side for Enzio Boldewijn, so impressive as a substitute at the weekend, and Scotsman Jim O'Brien.

The full team was Sam Slocombe in goal behind the back four of Richard Brindley, Connell Rawlinson, Ben Turner and Dion Kelly-Evans.

In midfield are Michael Doyle and Jake Reeves, while the three ahead of the duo in a 4-2-3-1 formation are Boldewijn, O'Brien and Tom Walker.

Up front, Kyle Wootton led the line on his own.

On the bench there was a huge boost for Notts with Alex Lacey back in the squad after spending several weeks on the sidelines due to a heel injury.

He joined Rodrigues, Sam, Jimmy Knowles and Matthew Wolfe.
