The boss of a family-run care company has spoken out after his company recognised nationally.
Award-winning Adept Care Homes, which owns Chetwynd House care home in Chilwell has been recognised in the 2020 London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’.
The report is a celebration of the fastest growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the UK.
Dave Lock, managing director of Adept Care Homes, said: “We are entering our 35th year as a care home operator and this accolade is a great way to celebrate, recognising just how far we have come since we bought our first home in 1986.
"To be held up as an inspiration to others is fantastic, a testament to our reputation as a provider of quality residential and dementia care, dedicated care teams and engaging social programmes.”
He added that, since founding the company, he had always ensured that each home was somewhere he would be happy for his parents to live in.
He said: “My dad lives at one of our care homes in Leicestershire. I am so pleased, from a relative’s perspective, that he is comfortable and happy. The compassion and dedication of our team that I see first-hand has reinforced my pride in what we do making sure our homes are a superb place to live or work.”
To be included in the list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.
Earlier this year, Chetwynd House care home marked VE Day by surprising residents with a tank.
Veteran John Newton was "overwhelmed" when the army tank paid him a visit in May.
Adept Care Homes owns seven care homes across the Midlands with its eighth home, Harrier House in Hucknall, opening its doors in January 2021.
