A Notts pub has been rejuvenated after a £200,000 home from home revamp.
Inside and out at The Talbot in Warsop has been refurbished by the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company, which says it's committed to putting "quality pubs back in the heart of communities."
Karen Emms, who has run the community pub, in High Street, for eight years, remains behind the bar.
As well as affordable drinks, the pub will offer sporting action, quizzes , and live music, once it's allowed again in accordance with government guidelines.
The Kings Head, in Market Place in Ilkeston, has also reopened after a £250,000 facelift.
Experienced operator Dorothy Wyville, who previously ran the Blue Bell Inn in Alfreton, has taken over the helm.
Both pubs have clear social distancing measures and enhanced cleaning regimes in place.
Dorothy said: “I’m delighted to have taken over the management of The Kings Head. It is a brilliant pub at the heart of Ilkeston, and I’m dedicated to be doing all I can to give back to the local community.
“My focus has always been my customers and the community I live and breathe, so to work with a company like Craft Union with its values so deeply ingrained in serving the communities it operates in, is just fantastic.”
