Nottinghamshire Police officer reinstated to force after previous sacking for gross misconduct

A Nottinghamshire Police officer who was dismissed from the force after being found guilty of gross misconduct has been reinstated.

Police Sergeant Jonathan Flint appeared at a Police Misconduct Hearing on January 16 where the panel found allegations against him breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour.

Nottinghamshire Live attended the January hearing and reported how the police sergeant was found guilty of gross misconduct for threatening a woman who was trying to dodge a bailiff in Bestwood.

The breaches amounted to gross misconduct resulting in dismissal from the force.

But at a subsequent Police Appeal Tribunal held on August 29 the panel allowed the former officer’s appeal, resulting in Jonathan Flint’s reinstatement to the force as a Police Sergeant.
