Police issue update after man falls from hotel window

Police have confirmed a man who fell from a hotel window in Peterborough is still in a critical condition.

The 25-year-old, who is being treated at Queen's Medical Centre, fell from the window of a room at the Great Northern Hotel, opposite Peterborough Railway Station, at about 1pm on Thursday, February 24.

He was originally taken to Peterborough City Hospital before being transferred to QMC, a major trauma centre, the next day.

In an update released on Wednesday, March 2, Cambridgeshire Police said the man remained in a critical condition at the Nottingham hospital.

After the incident, Detective Sergeant Louis Scott, of the force, said: “We are keeping an open mind over how this man managed to fall and we are very keen to speak to anyone who was in the hotel car park just beneath the window at the time or was maybe in the vicinity of the station.

“We have no reason to believe the circumstances are suspicious at this time but we are keen to speak to anyone who could help clear up exactly how it happened.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Cambridgeshire Police online or on 101.
