Three people in Nottinghamshire were given a New Year surprise after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.
The Voce Gardens, Hucknall neighbours landed the windfall when NG15 7UR was announced as a People’s Postcode Lottery Daily Prize winner on Thursday 31 December.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes and said: “What an amazing way to end the year. Congratulations to our winners, I hope this surprise makes their New Year celebrations even more special.”
A minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted on behalf of Crisis which has received more than £5.7 million in funding thanks to players.
The charity is dedicated to ending homelessness and throughout the year and helps approximately 10,000 people in England, Scotland and Wales.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
