A financial planner is bringing a decade's worth of experience with him into his new role with Mansfield headquartered, Cowens Group.
Phil Michou, a former University of Nottingham graduate, joins the financial services arm of the insurance and financial planning firm.
He said: "I am very excited to have joined such a close-knit and dynamic team... I can’t wait to start helping people with their financial planning needs."
Within his new role, Phil will work with Cowens' existing clients as well as building new relationships for the business.
He will play a key role in developing the existing team, managing projects in-house to improve efficiencies as well ensuring Cowens are adopting the latest technology.
He added: "Cowens prides itself on providing the best possible service to its clients, and with a smaller team comes more flexibility to deliver above and beyond what is expected.
"As well as looking after my own clients, I will also be working closely with all of the team, to enable the business to grow whilst still remaining efficient and focused on delivering the high levels of service that Cowens is known for."
With previous roles including an administrator in a wealth management department, then working in paraplanning, before progressing into a financial planning role, Phil joins Cowens at a crucial time for the business.
It aims to expand its reach further across the UK in 2020.
Last month BusinessLive reported Cowens workforce was up by 20 per cent .
Tony Duckworth, managing director of Cowens Financial Planning, said: "With the vast knowledge and experience [Phil] has as both a financial planner and paraplanner, his appointment will undoubtedly help to fulfil our business aims and objectives for this year by helping to create a better experience for our clients."
As well as financial planning, Cowens has four other brands under the Group umbrella, offering services such as insurance broking, employee benefits, private client insurance and risk solutions.
