Nottinghamshire areas with new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

There are nine new coronavirus cases recorded over the last 24 hours across Nottingham and the wider county, according to the latest Public Health England figures.

Cases in the UK have now reached 303, 952 a rise of 771 in the last 24 hours, while deaths have now reach 46,193 - a rise of 74 in the last 24 hours.

As of 4pm on Saturday (August 1) there were 1,223 confirmed cases in the city, a rise of two from the previous day.

In Nottinghamshire, there are now 3,075 confirmed cases across the wider county - a rise of seven.

This is the current breakdown of confirmed infections since March for each region of Nottinghamshire:

  • Ashfield 576 (plus one);
  • Bassetlaw 593 (no change);
  • Broxtowe 436 no change);
  • Gedling 382 (no change);
  • Mansfield 354 (no change);
  • Newark and Sherwood 339 (plus five);
  • Rushcliffe 395 (plus one).

Elsewhere across the East Midlands, there have been 1,325 confirmed cases in Derby and 3,435 across Derbyshire.

Meanwhile, there have been 4,963 confirmed infections in Leicester and 3,311 across Leicestershire.
