A Nottingham woman has teamed up to start a business with her 79-year-old gran during lockdown.
Anna Heaton, 30, from Nottingham, is designing wedding dresses with her 'Granny Rae' - Rae Davis - who turns 80 later this year.
Anna, who has had to put her work as a wedding photographer on hold, decided to enlist the help of her granny - a 'war baby' who was brought up having to reuse and repair everything, as materials were so scarce.
Together they've created a bridalwear collection which is handcrafted with re-worked materials, with Rae sewing and making the dresses.
The pair have now formed a support bubble and Anna goes to visit her gran, who lives on her own in Willoughby on the Wolds, to provide her with the materials she needs to make the dresses.
Anna told Nottinghamshire Live: "She keeps telling me 'oh I'm slowing down, my hands aren't as dextrous'.
"But she is still amazing! Her hands move so quickly. I don't think many people in my generation would be able to do what she does.
"I've learned me and my granny definitely have the same sense of style! Which I think I probably already knew."
They are currently adding the finishing touches to their collection, which is set to launch in Spring 2021.
They believe the pandemic may affect how much couples would like to spend on their day - and they may want a more affordable dress, too.
Anna continued: "If we could sell a few pieces, that would be the icing on the cake. It's really been about how can my granny keep busy - it's hard living on your own and this has been amazing for both of us.
"I have felt quite flat about my business and it's just been nice to have something not necessarily related to wedding photography to work on."
