Nottingham will bathe in hot temperatures and sunshine this coming weekend, forecasters expect.
After a rather wet start to the British summer, conditions look much better in the coming days.
Temperatures are expected to hit 25C on both Friday and Saturday (July 16/17) in Nottingham and will climb to 27C on the Sunday, the Met Office has predicted.
Bright sunshine is predicted for all three days in the city.
And after England's heart-breaking loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 final some hot sunny weather may just be what everyone needs.
Here's the outlook for the week ahead in the region from the Met Office:
Today (July 12):
Early cloud and rain, especially in the north of the region, soon clearing north through the morning. A mix of sunshine and showers during the rest of the day, some of these occasionally heavy and slow-moving. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Tonight:
Remaining showers soon dying out. A mainly dry night, although some cloud and scattered showers may affect the south of the region into the early hours. Minimum temperature 15 °C.
Tuesday:
Early cloud may affect coastal areas. This cloud soon clearing to leave a day of sunshine and light, well-scattered showers with light winds. Maximum temperature 22 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Mainly dry and bright Wednesday, but some cloud possible for coastal areas. Drier and brighter conditions developing through Thursday and Friday, with an increasing likelihood of warm sunny periods.
