Nottingham tram update as line reopens after week of disruption

Nottinghamshire tram services have returned to normal after an incident caused disruption on one of its main routes. An incident between the Hucknall and Bulwell stops, where a tram collided with a pole at Bulwell on June 12 due to severe weather, meant Nottingham Express Transit (NET) had to operate a limited service while repairs were under way.

Since the incident, trams had been terminating and departing between Toton Lane and Wilkinson Street. Now, NET has announced that normal service between Wilkinson Street and Hucknall has resumed.

In a tweet, NET said: "The works have been completed on the Hucknall /Toton Lane line, and we are now running through to all destinations. Thank you very much for your patience." While repairs were underway, tram users could use their tickets on The NCT Yellow and Turquoise buses between the city, Bulwell and Moor Bridge.
