Nottingham traffic: Roadworks expected to cause delays over Christmas

Roadworks are expected to cause some delays in Nottingham city centre over the Christmas period.

Gas works are due to be completed by December 29.

In an initial traffic bulletin issued by the city council, it was stated the road was expected to be closed.

But this has now been amended, and the authority has confirmed a number of streets will remain open.

As a result, minor delays are expected over Christmas.

St Peter's Street, off Ilkeston Road, between Radford Boulevard and Western Boulevard, remains open and work is taking place in the footway.

The roadworks are being led by the gas company Cadent.
