Nottingham to join nationwide round of applause for NHS heroes

People across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are being asked to join a nationwide round of applause to show our appreciation for the incredible work of the NHS.

Up and down the country, and across Nottinghamshire, staff from all walks of life and from every corner of the NHS are fighting on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic.

Clap for our Carers is asking people to honour workers including doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists and other NHS staff at 8pm on Thursday, March 26.

Similar organised applause for health workers has already taken place elsewhere in Europe, including in France and Spain.

Those wanting to get involved can do so from their front doors, windows, gardens and balconies.

At Nottinghamshire Live and Nottingham Post, we’re proud to be part of the NHS Heroes campaign, which has been launched by our parent company Reach to make sure all the amazing people at this wonderful organisation know exactly how much they mean to the nation.

We are asking you to show how much we appreciate them by helping us create a living map of gratitude from every corner of Britain. By dropping a heart on the map, you’re saying you appreciate the efforts undertaken daily in the NHS.

To pledge your support, just go to www.thanksamillionnhs.co.uk

Add your partial postcode (eg: NG1 1) to put a heart on the map and show your support for the heroes of the NHS.

Share the page to encourage others to show their support.
