A Nottingham takeaway has been named one of the best for vegan kebabs in the UK by animal rights charity PETA.
The Filthy Vegan's kebabs were hailed as having "a moreish meaty flavour with zero cruelty" by Dawn Carr, director of vegan corporate projects.
PETA's Top Ten list features kebabs from across the country.
The company - founded by James Freeman and Joe Johnson - serves up a hearty naan bread packed with griddled soya meat, with a secret seasoning, salad, spicy sriracha sauce and homemade soya and garlic mayo.
Joe said: "At a time with so much negative news going on it's some good positive news.

"We’re just delighted to have been nominated, let alone in the Top Ten and are really pleased that we can put Nottingham on the vegan scene map."
The duo, who began the plant-based business from Joe's home in Mapperley in February 2019, recently moved into the Kings Walk Kitchen in the city centre to provide evening table service following a successful stint at Nottingham's Winter Wonderland in Old Market Square.
The cafe has temporarily closed because of Covid-19 fears but the Filthy Vegan is still doing takeout and home deliveries on Fridays and Saturdays via UberEats and Deliveroo.
