Nottingham snow warning from Met Office as Storm Arwen brings freezing temperatures

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for snow which affects Nottingham over the weekend.

Storm Arwen will bring with it strong winds and freezing conditions and there are multiple weather warnings in place across the UK.

In Nottingham, a snow warning is in place from midnight Friday night (November 26) until 10am on Saturday, November 27.

Whilst most areas will see spells of rain there is a small chance of this turning to snow on Saturday morning leading to some disruption, the Met Office warned.

On what to expect, the weather expert added: "There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.

Conditions are much calmer on Sunday, although still cold.
