Nottingham set for 26C August heatwave, according to long range forecast

Nottingham is set to expereince a 26C summer heatwave later this month, according to a long-range weather forecaster.

Theweatheroutlook.com, which is able to predict weather up to 16 days away, currently says Nottingham residents should expect sunshine on the weekend starting August 14.

Bright sunshine is forecast for both Saturday and Sunday, with temperature highs of 26C.

It is expected to come following a week dominated by rainy and cloudy days.

The outlook until then is mixed, with cloud and rain predicted for much of this week, except Friday, which is meant to be sunny. Temperatures are expected to be flirting with 20C throughout the week.

During the following week the sun will be in and out. Temperatures should rise to as high as 24C in the lead up to the weekend sunshine when 26C is forecast on Sunday, August 15.
