Nottingham's Taco Bell applies for licence to extend opening times

Taco-lovers of Nottingham could soon be able to fulfil their cravings at all hours of the day and night.

If approval is given by local authorities, the mexican-inspired restaurant Taco Bell, in Angel Row, could be extending its opening hours.

An application has been made by franchisee Northgate Fast Food Ltd to Nottingham City Council to extend 'late night refreshment' from the current 4am to 5am.

The application also requests for the restaurant to become a 24-hour business.

A poster placed on the restaurant window reads: "The application includes the following terms: 1. to extend the terminal hour for the provision of late night refreshment until 5.00 hours daily. As a consequence of this, a request for the premises to be open 24 hours a day for the provision of food."

The application was submitted on December 18 and a spokeswoman for Taco Bell said: "Following consumer demand we have decided to extend our opening hours and have submitted an application to do so.

"We are currently awaiting a decision."
