Nottingham's Michelin-starred chef Sat Bains gets into the festive spirit on James Martin's Christmas Day TV show

Nottingham's two Michelin-starred Sat Bains will be rustling up a delicious recipe on James Martin’s Christmas Day TV show.

For the second year in a row James will be inviting viewers around to his house on December 25 for a feast of festive food for guests including television presenter Eamonn Holmes and McFly's Danny Jones.

Food lovers, who aren't in the middle of cooking their Christmas dinner, or busy opening presents can tune into ITV at noon.

James will be serving up a seasonal dish with a little help from a British food hero and treating viewers to another one of his mouth-watering masterclasses.

He'll be joined in the kitchen by Sat, whose lips are sealed about the dish he'll be cooking, and award-winning Padstow chef Paul Ainsworth.

"It's a secret until Christmas Day. I'm doing a couple of dishes I've tweaked for this with some luxury elements that you can do on Boxing Day or New Year's Eve," said Sat, who has shared his method for the best roast potatoes for Christmas dinner with Nottinghamshire Live readers.

James Martin's Christmas Day, which was filmed in November, also features a performance by the Kingdom Choir.

Restaurant Sat Bains, in Lenton Lane, is now closed until the new year, however the team are working on new dishes, presentation and service elements of the ten course tasting menu for 2022.
