Nottingham's Ekow Essuman wins to retain titles on Tyson Fury card at Wembley

After a late addition to the Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte undercard, Ekow Essuman beat Darren Tetley to retain his British and Commonwealth titles.

The Nottingham based fighter was rarely troubled by the resilient Tetley as the cagey contest played out in the building anticipation of the world heavyweight championship clash between Whyte and Fury.

It could perhaps be said that the two fighters were in awe of the stage with most of the 94,000 capacity crowd seated for the main event at the time of the fight.

However, it was still engaging and Tetley's chin held up to extreme scrutiny from the occasional barrages at the hands of Essuman, who remains undefeated after the fight.

He remains the Defending British, Commonwealth, and IBF European welterweight champion following the fight and fans will be excited to see who comes next.
