Nottingham's Cornerhouse announces closure of Pizza Hut restaurant

Managers at The Cornerhouse in the city centre have confirmed the Pizza Hut restaurant within the complex has closed.

The restaurant's closure came after Pizza Hut announced last year it would shut 29 stores across the UK.

The decision came as Pizza Hut launched a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) restructuring deal.

A statement on The Cornerhouse Facebook page read: "We’re sad to confirm that The Cornerhouse Pizza Hut restaurant is now closed.

"We can tell you that we will be welcoming a brand-new venue in the near future, which will be full of flavour!

"We can’t tell you who…but you won’t be disappointed!"

The landlord has been in discussion with a number of interested parties in the knowledge that Pizza Hut would be vacating and is currently considering its options.

The city's second Roxy Ball Room has recently opened in a unit within The Cornerhouse.

Plans have recently been put forward for a Pizza Hut takeaway in West Bridgford.

Pizza Hut has been contacted over the restaurant closure.
