Nottingham's Bella Ramsey shown in action in first teaser trailer for HBO's The Last of Us

Nottingham's Bella Ramsey has been shown in action in the very first trailer for a new series from the makers of Game of Thrones. While the clip only lasts a mere few seconds, Bella is shown intensely fleeing a fierce horde of infected in the TV-adaptation of hit video game The Last of Us.

The 18-year-old, famed for her role as Lady Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones, attends the city's Television Workshop where she perfects her craft. She was also honoured at the Nottingham Post/Nottinghamshire Live's 30 Under 30 awards, which celebrated some of the brightest young adults in the city.

The Last of Us first released on the PlayStation 3 and follows smuggler Joel, to be portrayed by Pedro Pascal (Narcos, Mandalorian), and teenager Ellie, who will be portrayed by Bella, in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by a fungus which takes over the human brain and turns them into violent 'infected'.

Neil Druckmann, the co-president of video game developer Naughty Dog, is the co-creator, executive producer, writer, and director of the show which will air on HBO Max and Sky next year (2023). A teaser trailer has now been released.

In the clip Ellie (Ramsey) is being taught by Joel (Pascal) how to fire a weapon, and later shown fleeing while shooting at infected hot on her tail. The show faithfully depicts the video game, with numerous scenes near-identical to what happens in the game.

Fans have asked Bella if she could convince her co-star to play the game, only for her to tease Pedro saying: "I would but he has no gaming skillz."

The Last of Us is set to launch in 2023.
